Lukashenko Plays The Role Of A Chump In A Preference Game

The dictator doesn't get asked much.

Experts of the US Institute for the Study of War believe that Russia and Belarus may carry out sabotage in Poland and blame Ukraine for everything. This is according to their new report.

Recently, Russia's foreign intelligence service stated without any evidence that Ukraine is preparing to attack Poland's critical infrastructure to frame Russia and Belarus.

Experts believe that the Kremlin may have ordered the SVR to publish this statement to avoid responsibility for a possible future Russian and Belarusian sabotage operation against Poland.

- I think that the Institute for the Study of War in this case legalizes the information of Western intelligence services about the so-called combat commonwealth of Belarus and Russia, and there is nothing surprising in it," Ukrainian political scientist Eugene Magda commented on the situation "Filinu". - I doubt that Belarus and Russia will be able to accomplish such a thing, as there are contacts between the Ukrainian and Polish intelligence services.

But it is obvious that the Kremlin is trying to play up the contradictions that exist between Poland and Ukraine. Belarus, unfortunately, is literally playing the role of a chump in the Polish preference game. That is, it is not even asked.

This is evidenced not even by the information of the Institute for the Study of War, but by the fact that Lukashenko started talking about "new eastern regions of Russia", i.e. about the newly seized lands of Ukraine.

This contradicts his previous position, for example, not recognizing the seizure of Crimea. This means that Lukashenko needs money and, accordingly, he is ready to sing to the Kremlin's tune more actively.

If such a diversion by Russia and Belarus against Poland does happen, it will not go unnoticed, says the political scientist. At the same time, he said, it is still difficult to predict what exactly the sabotage might be and what consequences will be borne by the regimes of Putin and Lukashenko.
