There is no transportation in the city.

On the night of October 5, Russian occupation forces hit Lviv with cruise missiles and also launched dozens of Shahed attack drones across the city. In the city in the morning, for the first time in a long time, public transportation did not take to the routes.

In the city, powerful explosions rang out for several hours, and air defense forces worked against enemy targets, a correspondent of "Focus".

The first powerful explosions began to sound in the city closer to 5 a.m., at which time an air danger was declared across Ukraine.

The city chairman of Lviv Andriy Sadovy reported enemy drones flying towards the city as early as after 4 a.m.

"There are many drones in the sky over Ukraine, the attack continues. Please stay in a safe place!", - Sadovyi noted.

The same information was confirmed by monitors.

"Today almost all UAVs that have flown are attacking Lviv. The city is under massive attack of attack UAVs," the report said.

It was also reported that several cruise missiles were flying towards the city.

The AFU air force also warned several times during the night about the danger to Lviv and other cities in western Ukraine, in particular :

Brodov;

Zolochev;

Stryi;

Drohobych.

Subsequently, a video appeared online, which recorded the moment of the arrival of the "shaheddin" in one of Lviv's districts.

In addition, after 6 a.m., monitors reported the takeoff of several MiG-31K fighter jets carrying hypersonic Kinzhal missiles, which were also launched toward Lviv.

Because of the Russian attack in Lviv, for the first time in a long time, public transport did not take to the routes in the morning.

"Because of the massive enemy attack, public transport in Lviv is not yet on the routes. Please residents stay safe!", Sadovy wrote after 6 a.m.

Poland has put military aircraft in the sky

After 5 a.m., the Operational Command of the Polish Armed Forces said it had put military aircraft in the air because of a combined Russian attack on Ukraine.

"Polish and allied aircraft are intensively operating in our airspace, and ground-based air defense and radar recognition systems have reached a state of high readiness," it said.

It also specified that these measures are preventive in nature and aimed at protecting airspace and citizens, especially in areas adjacent to the danger zone.
