The results will be announced at a special press conference.
Czech President Petr Pavel began post-election consultations with the heads of political parties and movements that made it to the Chamber of Deputies on Sunday morning in Prague Castle.
According to Ceske Noviny.
Today he will receive the heads of ANO, ODS, KDU-ČSL, TOP 09 and STAN, with further meetings scheduled for Monday.
First, Pavel will meet with the leader of the election-winning ANO party Andrzej Babiš, who has already held talks on Saturday night on possible post-election cooperation with representatives of the Automobilists for Their Own Party and SPD.
Afterwards, Pavel will meet with ODS leader and Prime Minister Petr Fiala, then with People's Party leader Marek Wyborny, then with TOP 09 party leader Marketa Pekarova Adamova and finally with STAN movement leader Vit Rakushan.
At 16:00, the president will comment on this meeting at a press conference.
In an August interview, Pavel said that he is ready not to delay the process of forming the government and not to set preconditions. He believes that a new cabinet will be formed relatively soon, at least that is the impression he got from statements made by representatives of the strongest parties. The president has previously expressed his belief that in the future government, entities that want to leave the European Union and the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) should not have a say in foreign and security policy.
