Yerevan has set a course towards the EU.
Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan signed a decree, under which a separate department of European integration will be created within the structure of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the republic. This was reported on the website of the Armenian Cabinet of Ministers.
"By separating the Department of European Affairs from the Department of European Affairs to create the Department of European Integration, which is the main structural subdivision of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs," the document says.
The decree also shows that Pashinyan decided to unite the Departments of Political Planning and Coordination of Diplomatic Functioning of the Armenian Foreign Ministry.
On July 16, Pashinyan said that Armenia wants to become a member of the European Union (EU). The head of the Republican Cabinet noted that during meetings and discussions, the Armenian and European sides considered this to be a "difficult process."
