Aliyev Invited Turkic Countries To Hold Joint Military Exercises

The maneuvers could take place in 2026.

Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev has offered the member countries of the Organization of Turkic States to hold military exercises in 2026. His words are quoted by "Azertaj".

He recalled the broad cooperation of Turkic countries in several spheres, including military and defense.

"We propose to hold joint military exercises of the member states of the Organization of Turkic States in Azerbaijan in 2026," he said.

The 12th summit of the Organization of Turkic States is held in the city of Gabala. The organization includes Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Turkey and Uzbekistan.
