Putin Did Not Accept Zelensky's Proposal For An Energy Truce

The Kremlin responded cynically.

The Kremlin has responded cynically to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky's statement about the possibility of an energy truce if Moscow goes for such an initiative. Putin's speaker Dmitry Peskov, commenting on Zelensky's proposal actually rejected such a possibility.

"We are working on peace, not a ceasefire," Peskov said cynically.

He said that allegedly "an absolute priority" for Russia is "sustainable, guaranteed peace achieved through the signing of relevant documents."
