Lithuania Handed Belarus A Note Of Protest

Vilnius is demanding the return of the trucks.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Lithuania handed a note of protest to the Charge d'Affaires of Belarus, demanding to return the Lithuanian trucks detained on the Belarusian territory and to ensure control over the airspace on the border of the two countries. This was reported in the press service of the Foreign Ministry of the Baltic Republic.

"Charge d'Affaires of the Embassy of Belarus, summoned to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Lithuania, received a note of protest in connection with the ongoing hybrid attacks, carried out from the territory of Belarus, and violent seizure of property of citizens and companies of the European Union," the Foreign Ministry said in a statement.

It notes that the Belarusian side "was once again urged to ensure effective control over its airspace.
