EAEU: Belarus Has Surpassed Russia In Average Pension Size

Belarus has become the leader in terms of average pension in dollar terms among the countries of the Eurasian Economic Union in 2024, having displaced Russia from the traditional first place. The corresponding data were published by the Department of Statistics of the Eurasian Economic Commission in the statistical every year of the EAEU.

While in 2023 Russia was ahead of Belarus with the result of 230 dollars against 221th, in the next year it missed it - 227 dollars against 247. In terms of the minimum size of the assigned pension the lag is even more significant - 79 dollars against 172, also ahead of Russia are Kazakhstan (111 dollars) and Armenia (91 dollars).

Russia is behind Kazakhstan and Belarus - 157.7 percent against 172.1 and 249.8 percent, respectively.
