EU Summit Kicked Off With An Incident: Slovak Delegation's Plane Damaged

Details of the emergency became known.

An accident at Brussels airport has complicated the participation of the Slovak delegation in the upcoming EU summit. The airplane, on which the Slovak Prime Minister arrived in Brussels, was seriously damaged and was unfit for further operation.

This was reported by RBC-Ukraine, citing a publication by the Slovak Prime Minister RBC-Ukraine.html">RBC-Ukraine with reference to the publication of Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fitzo on the X network.

The aircraft was damaged after the arrival of the delegation. According to the head of the Slovak government, the plane was hit by a vehicle with a gangway, as a result of which its technical condition does not allow to continue flying.

About the incident he reported on his page in social network X, noting that the beginning of the EU summit turned out to be "not too successful".

"The demanding summit in Brussels did not start well. At the airport, a vehicle with a gangway damaged our plane to such an extent that it is no longer airworthy and we have to leave it here," Fitzo wrote.

He did not give further details about the nature of the damage or the timeframe for repairs.
