A video from the Sumy region of Ukraine has surfaced.
In Sumy region, the Sky Wars unit of the air defense of the 47th separate mechanized brigade "Magura" successfully intercepted a Russian FPV drone that was threatening civilians.
According to Censor.NET, an enemy drone with an RPG charge was chasing a minibus with civilians. The air defense operator used an anti-aircraft drone and destroyed the FPV in the air until the target was hit.
Thanks to the prompt and professional actions of servicemen of the 47th UMBR, possible civilian casualties were prevented.
"Such an aerial operation is rare. Firstly, the enemy drone was flying low and it is difficult to fix it, secondly - to catch up with FPV, which comes in for a strike, is a task of aerobatics, thirdly - it is an unequal exchange, because the interceptor drone is more expensive than FPV. But here for 'Sky Wars' the priority was to save people's lives," the fighters wrote in a comment to the video.
This case once again confirms that Russian troops continue to use attack drones against non-military targets, and also demonstrates the effectiveness of Ukrainian solutions in countering FPV drones in frontline and border areas.
