The Kremlin's position was voiced by Peskov.
Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov has said that Russia is open to peace talks with Ukraine, but all "SWO" goals must be achieved.
According to RBC-Ukraine, Dmitry Peskov said this at a briefing for Indian media on the eve of the Russia-India summit in New Delhi.
Peskov said that Moscow highly appreciates the US administration's peace initiatives aimed at finding a political and diplomatic solution to the Ukrainian crisis.
At the same time, he emphasized that any negotiations on Ukraine should be held only if all of Russia's strategic goals are achieved and the causes of the conflict that triggered the UWO are eliminated.
"This is of great importance to us, as Russia remains open for peace talks. But through peaceful negotiations, we must achieve our goals and eliminate the primary reasons for the military operation," Peskov said.
The Kremlin thus notes that any agreement on Ukraine must take into account Russia's position and its key demands.
