Russia Massively Attacked Ukraine With Missiles And Shaheds

Kiev, Zhytomyr, Rivne, Burshtyn, Ternopil region and Bukovina are under attack.

On the night of December 23, Russia launched a massive strike on Ukraine. Hundreds of "Shaheds" as early as 00:00 attacked almost all regions of the country, and closer to morning reached the western regions and hit Zhitomir, Rivne, reached Ternopil region, Bukovina and Ivano-Frankivsk region, writes BBC.

According to monitoring channels, about ten strategic bombers could launch cruise missiles. There were also launches of Kalibr cruise missiles from the sea.

The strikes on Rivne were recorded, Zhytomyr was attacked by Shaheds in several waves.

The head of Chernivtsi region reported drones over the region; the Dniester hydroelectric power plant was under threat.

After 6 am, an air alert was declared in Ivano-Frankivsk region. According to monitoring channels, many Shaheds are flying to Burshtyn, where an important thermal power plant is located.

In general, special attention to the energy infrastructure of Odessa Oblast and the entire southern region is expected during this strike. The city of Odessa itself was in complete blackout for several days.

Almost all night the "Shaheds" flew around Kiev, but before dawn they began to attack the Ukrainian capital. An air alert was declared there and the air defense system began to work. Mostly this night, the Shaheds struck the surrounding towns near Kiev.

The authorities of Sumy region have already reported significant damage to infrastructure near Shostka and Konotop; problems with electricity supply have begun.

The last time Russia launched a massive strike on all regions of Ukraine was on December 6, when energy facilities were damaged and strict blackout schedules were introduced.
