"Shaheds" Attacked Western Ukraine From The Territory Of Belarus

A new route of Russian drones is shown.

Late in the evening of December 25 and and in the morning of December 26, the enemy is attacking Volyn's energy infrastructure, with drones flying a northwestern route to the region. A visualization of the course was published by the monitoring channel Strategic Control.

Using the airspace of Belarus and the Russian Federation to launch drones, the Russian Armed Forces are attacking Volyn and Rivne regions. In addition, reconnaissance is being conducted before a potential large-scale strike.

The radio technology expert Sergei "Flash" Beskrestnov wrote earlier that the Shaheds are being controlled from Belarus. He came to this conclusion analyzing the attack on a train in Zhitomir region on December 23.

The big tragedy was avoided only because the operator missed, and the falling drone provoked the crash of a freight train.

"It is likely that the Shahed was controlled from Belarus, to which the distance from the scene is 80 kilometers, too far from Russia," Beskrestnov noted.

In the meantime, explosions have been heard in Kovel since morning. According to local publicks, drones hit the Kovel station of the Lviv railroad, damaging a locomotive and a freight car. The shock wave blew out windows in the locomotive depot.

The head of the Volnyna regional military administration Ivan Rudnitsky wrote online that the Russian Armed Forces attacked a critical infrastructure facility the night before.

Air alert is sounding in Kovel and Lutsk districts at the time of writing. Residents of the region have been warned that there is currently no possibility to sound the air alert by districts in Volyn, although similar practice has been introduced in other regions, so residents should react to the warning based on the information in the appendix.

This night the Russian military fired 99 drones of various types and one ballistic missile at Ukraine. 73 UAVs managed to be shot down or suppressed.
