A visit by the US president could strengthen the negotiation process.
Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky said that US President Donald Trump may come to Ukraine to support a peace agreement to end the war.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said this in an interview with Axios.
The Ukrainian government continues contacts with representatives of the current US administration to discuss a peaceful resolution of the war in Ukraine.
So, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and his representatives are actively negotiating with US special envoys, particularly Donald Trump's special envoy Steve Whitkoff and Jared Kushner, as part of diplomatic efforts to peacefully resolve the war.
The meetings are mostly about new ideas for formats, timetables and steps that could bring real peace to Russia's war against Ukraine, as well as details of document preparation.
Whitkoff and Kushner are acting directly as negotiators, and so they have participated in talks in Berlin and in the United States.
Moreover, according to Volodymyr Zelensky, White House special envoy Steve Whitkoff and the US president's son-in-law Jared Kushner are already ready to visit Ukraine.
The Ukrainian president also noted that Donald Trump could also come to Ukraine to support a peace agreement to end the war.
"I think that perhaps Trump himself would have to visit Ukraine to substantiate his position," Zelensky said.
