Long Weekends Are Coming Back To Belarus

How Belarusians will work and rest in 2026.

If you like long weekends, as, for example, now, there will be enough reasons for rest in 2026. During the year, Belarusians will have several periods of four consecutive days off, as well as traditional state holidays, which remain non-working days, writes Onliner.

The first long weekend will be held at the very beginning of the year - from January 1 to January 4. It will be the first four-day period of rest in 2026.

The next long weekend is expected in spring. In April, Belarusians will rest from the 18th to the 21st. For this purpose, the working day of Monday, April 20, is moved to Saturday, April 25. As a result, April 18 (Saturday), April 19 (Sunday), April 20 (Monday) and April 21 (Tuesday) will become days off. At the same time, organizations are allowed to move this working day to another Saturday, taking into account the specifics of work.

In addition, in 2026, non-working days will officially be:

January 1 and 2 - New Year's Day

January 7 - Christmas (Orthodox)

March 8 - Women's Day

April 21 - Radunitsa

May 1 - Labor Day

May 9 - Victory Day

July 3 - Independence Day of the Republic of Belarus

November 7 - October Revolution Day

December 25 - Christmas (Catholic)
