Ukrainian Drones Have "closed" Gasoline And Diesel Exports From Russia For Another Three Months

Ukraine's successful attacks continue.

Russia has extended a temporary ban on gasoline exports until the end of February 2026, Bloomberg reported, citing a Russian government decree.

According to the government decision, the ban will apply to all fuel exporters, including fuel producers.

Russian officials extended a ban on exports of diesel fuel, marine fuel and other types of gasoil for a similar period. This restriction does not apply to diesel producers.

It is noted that the decision was made to maintain a stable situation on the Russian fuel market.

The publication recalls that Russia imposed restrictions on fuel exports at the end of August 2025 - after Ukraine intensified drone strikes on refineries and ports from the Black Sea to the Baltic coast. The journalists note that the successful Ukrainian drone strikes on Russian refineries led to a crisis on the Russian fuel market, a spike in fuel prices and temporary shortages.

"Although the situation has since stabilized, prices remain relatively high and Ukraine's attacks continue," the journalists state, adding that the ban on fuel exports from Russia should have ended at the end of the year.
