Trump Will Call Putin After Meeting With Zelensky

Before meeting with the Ukrainian president, the American leader also called the Russian dictator.

US President Donald Trump has said he plans to call Russian dictator Vladimir Putin after he holds a meeting with Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky.

"I will also dial Putin after this meeting, we will continue negotiations," he told reporters.

Trump also said he believes the two presidents allegedly "want to make a deal." He also assured that the agreement on security guarantees for Ukraine "will be strong."

"Nobody even knows what will be spelled out in the security agreement. But there will be an agreement - and it will be strong .... It will be a strong agreement, and European countries will be involved," he said.
