The AFU Commander-in-Chief Summarized The Military Results Of 2025

Ukrainians thwarted the "grand plans" of the Russian occupiers.

Russian occupiers in 2025 failed to realize plans during their aggression against Ukraine. This was stated by the Commander-in-Chief of the AFU Alexander Syrsky in an interview with Channel 24 published on December 29.

"The enemy planned for this year, firstly, to completely [....] to seize the territory of Donetsk, Luhansk region, Zaporizhzhya region, part of Dnipropetrovsk region, planned to hold and land paratroops on the territory of Kherson region and, of course, continued to attack and planned to significantly advance in the Pokrovsk direction, which was the main one," he said.

According to the AFU commander-in-chief, the enemy also wanted to regain control of the previously de-occupied territories of Kharkiv Region, in particular, in the Kupyansk direction, as well as to advance in the Limansk direction.

"That is, they made grandiose plans, but we can now state that they did not come true. They were all thwarted. And we have several times watched the Russian leadership announce that once again they have 'captured' Kupyansk, 'captured' Pokrovsk, 'captured' more than 300 settlements, which does not correspond to reality at all," Syrsky said.

According to him, the width of the "active" front is now more than 1,220 kilometers, and the number of enemy personnel varies between 710,000 and 711,000 people.
