There were no air alert warnings in the region.
Residents of Russia's Novgorod region, where Russian dictator Vladimir Putin's residence is located, have not heard the sounds of drones and explosions in recent nights. Nor have there been any air-raid alerts in the region. This is further evidence that Lavrov's account of a 91 Ukrainian drone attack on Putin's Dolgiye Beardy residence in Valdai was a fabrication, writes "We Can Explain".
Putin's Dolgiye Beardy residence is located northeast of the town of Valdai, which is home to up to 14,000 people. The town and the residence are separated by Lake Valdayskoye.
The publication interviewed local residents. None of them "received SMS messages about the UAV threat, and the residents of Valdai have not heard the characteristic sounds of drones or explosions from shooting them down." One resident said that the town had heard nothing about the alleged "mass attack." It was not discussed in local chat rooms.
The reporters noted that if there really was a mass attack, many of the town's residents would have heard it. That said, the authors noted, news spreads quickly among residents. In addition, residents always know when Putin is at the residence, as they bring him in by helicopter.
