The Head Of The Russian Health Ministry Upset Putin

There were difficulties in creating the elixir of youth.

In Russia, it is currently not possible to create a universal remedy to prolong youth, announced the head of the Russian Ministry of Health Mikhail Murashko.

"It will be quite difficult to create a universal pill for old age. It should first of all, probably, include the issues of immune system regulation. And this area of longevity is now being actively funded in our country and abroad, because increasing life expectancy and, most importantly, healthy life is so, in general, fundamental for mankind," the minister said in an interview with Rossiya-24 (quoted by TASS).

In September 2024, The Times wrote that Putin, "obsessed with the idea of eternal life," instructed scientists to create anti-aging remedies. According to the newspaper, the Health Ministry demanded that scientific institutes report on their work on methods to counteract cellular aging, cognitive disorders, osteoporosis and strengthening the immune system.

In December this year, RBC reported that a number of major scientific centers have begun looking for ways to slow down aging, as well as to measure the biological age of humans and their internal organs.
