Syrsky revealed the details.
Russia does not give up its intentions to seize Ukrainian territories and continues to try to plunge Ukrainian cities and villages into blackouts through massive air attacks.
This is reported by RBC-Ukraine with reference to the Commander-in-Chief of the AFU Alexander Syrsky.
According to the commander-in-chief, the key task of the Defense Forces at this stage is to destroy the enemy's means of air attack, which Russia uses on a daily basis. It is the real military results, he emphasized, that create the basis for successful diplomacy.
Syrsky stressed that the priority remains strengthening the direction of UAV interceptors. It is a question of increasing the number of such drones, ground stations and radar facilities, as well as increasing crew training.
"Our key task at this stage is to strengthen the direction of UAV-interceptors, increase the number of appropriate drones, ground stations and radars, and increase the volume and quality of crew training," Syrsky said.
He said that within the echeloned air defense system, interception lines are already being created at a distance from major cities. The number of drone interceptor applications and their effectiveness are gradually increasing, but the pace of work must be accelerated.
The commander-in-chief separately reported on the formation of divisions of unmanned air defense systems and the creation of full-time UAV interceptor units as part of training centers. To counter the Shaheds, resources of army and small aviation, as well as the support of international partners are also involved.
"The enemy is taking advantage of weather conditions, modernizing its attack drones and changing the tactics of their use, attacking at ultra-low altitudes. Accordingly, we modernize our countermeasures and change the system for the sake of the necessary results," the commander-in-chief said.
