Tusk: War In Ukraine Could End Within Weeks

The Polish prime minister shared a prediction.

The war in Ukraine may end within the next few weeks, Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk said after talks with European leaders, representatives of Canada and NATO. This is reported by Reuters.

Tusk said there have been recent developments that give reason to hope for a relatively soon end to the war. He emphasized, however, that it was not a matter of 100 percent certainty.

"When I say that peace is on the horizon, I mean the coming weeks, not months or years. By January, we will all have to come together to make decisions about the future of Ukraine and the future of this part of the world," the Polish prime minister said.

He also said that security guarantees from the United States provided to Ukraine allow us to count on a speedy end to the conflict. At the same time, Tusk noted that Kiev might have to make compromises on territorial issues.
