Explosion At Refinery And Terminal In Russian Tuapse: New Details

Ukrainian intelligence is behind the daring operation.

On the night of December 31, the Main Directorate of Intelligence of the Defense Ministry of Ukraine together with the State Border Service attacked the Tuapse marine oil terminal and the Tuapse oil refinery in the Krasnodar region of the Russian Federation. This was reported by NV sources in the Defense Intelligence Directorate.

The strike hit the primary oil processing unit AVT-12 of the Tuapse refinery, as well as transportation pipelines and loading equipment of the marine oil terminal, the intelligence officers said.

The Tuapse refinery could process about 12 million tons of oil a year, significantly strengthening the ability of the Russian military-industrial complex.

Russian Telegram channels reported earlier that in Russian Tuapse, a UAV attack damaged one of the piers in the port, as well as equipment at an oil refinery. Fires broke out at the site of the strikes.
