Pope Francis has bequeathed part of his estate to Ukraine.

This was reported by the German edition of Bild.

The bequest from Pope Francis, who died in April this year, was told by nun Lucia Karam in a Spanish radio program.

She said the pontiff's will stipulated that part of his funds should be spent on buying ambulances for Ukraine. Moreover, "war zone" was mentioned.

BILD writes that Luisia Karam has repeatedly traveled to Ukraine with humanitarian missions since February 2022. According to the nun herself, she was deeply touched by the gesture of the pontiff, who had repeatedly promised her support during her lifetime.

"But I never expected it to come in this form," the publication quoted the woman as saying.
