Ukrainian Forces Paralyze Command of Russian 'Kursk' Group

General Lapin's units were left without centralized leadership.

The Ukrainian forces successfully attacked the command post of the Russian Armed Forces 'Kursk', located in the city of Rylsk.

Another command post of the Russian occupation army was disabled. The headquarters of the 'Kursk' group of forces was successfully attacked by a high-precision strike. The information was officially confirmed by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on its TelegramTelegram channel.

There is little information yet. It is known that the strike was carried out on January 31. The General Staff called the operation "highly precise and coordinated".

"This operation is part of the systematic work to destroy the enemy's command posts, depriving it of the ability to coordinate combat operations and logistics," the military reported.

They clarified that the work to eliminate the command system of the Russian Armed Forces will continue. This will reduce the offensive potential of the occupiers.

The details of the operation were revealed by Ukrainian journalist and war correspondent Andrei Tsaplienko. "As a result of the strike on the command post of the Kursk group of the Russian army, its work, as far as we know, is now paralyzed. For some time, the units that are part of this group were left without effective coordination of actions," Tsaplienko said.

He specified that the group is under the control of the commander of the North strategic directorate, Colonel General Alexander Lapin.

Now he will be forced to take direct control of the Kursk direction.
