The top official stepped on a mine.

Yakutia's Minister of Youth Affairs and Social Communications Petr Shamaev has been blown up by a mine while fighting in the war against Ukraine. As a result, the occupant lost part of his leg, writes ‘Obozrevatel’.

He said about this on Telegram, report the Russian mass media. According to the occupant, on 1 February he went on reconnaissance in foggy conditions.

Believing he knew the terrain well, Shamaev was walking first and exploded on an anti-personnel mine. After the explosion, another invader with the call sign ‘Momon’ was carrying him for ‘more than four kilometres’.

He then underwent several operations in Belgorod and Moscow. During the last procedure, doctors shortened his leg even more.
