The Ukrainian military told the details.
Back on 26 February, news appeared on the web that the AFU managed to liberate the village of Kotline from the enemy troops.
AFU fighters with call signs ‘Sid’ and ‘Hera’ shared the details of the unique military operation. At the first stage it was necessary to stabilise the situation, and at the second stage - to inflict maximum damage to the enemy troops in the village, the resource ‘Suspilne Donbas’ informs.
At that time, there were up to 100 enemy soldiers in Kotline. The third stage included blocking all routes to the village, and the final step was its complete liberation.
Soldiers of the 25th brigade of the AFU took part in the operation to liberate Kotline. One assault group entered the village on foot, and the second - on a BMP-2. The enemy did not expect an attack with the use of armoured vehicles. One of the BMPs exploded on a mine, but fortunately there were no casualties. Ukrainian forces immediately opened fire at the enemy, and almost immediately the enemy started to surrender.
While one part of the AFU fighters were mopping up the south-eastern part of Kotline, the other part was moving to the south-western part to prevent the enemy from gaining a foothold in the houses.
After that, the Ukrainian forces completely cleared the village of the remaining enemy soldiers.
