Rebels Seize Belarusian Drones In Democratic Republic Of Congo

Rebels from the M23 group have captured the town of Goma in the east of the Democratic Republic of Congo. The Rwandan Broadcasting Agency published a photo of the Belarusian-made Berkut-VM unmanned aerial vehicle captured by the rebels.

According to the UN and security sources, 3-4 thousand Rwandan military took part in the siege of Goma together with the rebels. UN sources told AFP news agency that between 500 and 1,000 Rwandan soldiers had arrived in the Goma area.
M23, also known as the 23 March Movement, is a group of rebels led by ethnic Tutsis who have taken up arms against Congolese troops.
