France
French President Emmanuel Macron was one of the first to react to the quarrel between Trump and Zelensky.
“We must respect those who fight,” Macron briefly reacted.
He stressed that we should not forget there is “an aggressor and the one who was attacked.”
French Foreign Minister Jean-Noël Barrot joined Macron's position and also spoke in support of Ukraine.
“There is an aggressor — Putin's Russia. There is a victim: the Ukrainian people. In the face of this, and for the sake of our collective security, we need one thing: Europe, now,” he noted.
At the same time, the head of the Foreign Ministry emphasized that now is the time for active actions, not talk.
“The time for words is over, let's do what we say,” he emphasized.

Germany
Meanwhile, the deputy leader of the German CDU party, Johann Wadephul, added that Europe will not betray Ukraine.
“The scenes from the White House are shocking. How can someone stab the president of an invaded country in the back like that? Free Europe will not betray Ukraine!” he remarked.
Germany's Minister of Foreign Affairs, Annalena Baerbock, joined Wadephul in supporting Ukraine.
“Ukraine is not alone. Germany together with our European allies stands united alongside Ukraine — and against the Russian aggression. Ukraine can build on unwavering support from Germany, Europe, and beyond. Their defense of democracy & their quest for peace & security is ours,” she said.
German Chancellor Olaf Scholz emphasized that no one wants peace more than Ukrainians right now.
“Therefore we are working on a common path to a lasting and just peace. Ukraine can rely on Germany – and on Europe,” he added.
Potential future German Chancellor Friedrich Merz also expressed his support for the Ukrainian president and Ukraine.
“Dear Volodymyr Zelensky, we stand with Ukraine in good and in testing times. We must never confuse aggressor and victim in this terrible war,” he noted.

According to Sky News, the UK's position “remains unchanged” after the breakdown in negotiations between Trump and Zelensky.
An anonymous source said, “let's see what happens in the coming days.”
The source added that the UK government’s position is “unwavering support for just and lasting peace that ensures Ukraine's sovereignty and security.”
The source reiterated the position of British Prime Minister Keir Starmer, stating that “no negotiations about Ukraine without Ukraine” are possible, and added that Europe has to play its part in defense and “step up.”
As Downing Street reported, the British Prime Minister called Zelensky and Trump and expressed his “unwavering support” for Ukraine, The Guardian writes.
It is also noted that the head of the British government maintains strong support for Ukraine and is doing everything possible to find a path to a strong peace based on the sovereignty and security of Ukraine.”

“Latvia stands with Ukraine,” she wrote.
Norway
Norwegian Prime Minister Jonas Gahr Støre, following the tense atmosphere between Volodymyr Zelensky and Donald Trump, remarked that what the world witnessed today from the White House was “serious and discouraging.”
“Ukraine still needs US support, and the security and future of Ukraine are also important for the US and Europe... Zelensky has strong support in Ukraine, broad support in Europe, and he has led his people through a very difficult and brutal time under Russia’s attacks,” he stated.
Støre explained that, in his opinion, Trump's accusations that Zelensky is gambling with World War III are “deeply unfounded, and this is a statement I distance myself from.”
“Norway supports Ukraine in its struggle for freedom. We hope that the Trump administration also understands the importance of a just and lasting peace in Ukraine,” the Prime Minister concluded.

Zelenskyy's meeting with Trump
Today, Friday, February 28, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky arrived in the United States.
The head of state has already met with American senators and US President Donald Trump.
However, during the conversation with journalists, a quarrel erupted between Zelensky and Trump regarding the war in Ukraine.
The Ukrainian President reminded that the war in Ukraine did not end under Barack Obama, Donald Trump, or Joe Biden. This caused a sharp reaction from US Vice President JD Vance, and then from Trump.
It should be noted that Ukrainian President Zelensky has left the White House early.
Meanwhile, American leader Trump stated that Zelensky is not ready for peace.
