Hrodna Traffic Police Analyse Traffic Violations, Get Surprised

More than 300 cases since the beginning of the year at one enterprise.

There have been more than 300 traffic violations in Hrodna since the beginning of the year, the perpetrators of which turned out to be employees of one enterprise, reports ‘Hrodna Plus’.

In order to stop this trend, the law enforcers held a field meeting at this very enterprise, where they analysed the latest incidents in the presence of employees and management.

The field meeting was held on 12 March at Hrodnazhylstroi.

The most frequent causes of violations were talking on the phone while driving, the absence of technical inspection and drunk driving. It is specified that all these offences were committed by the Hrodna residents during non-working hours.

According to the deputy head of the interdistrict department of the Department of Internal Affairs of Hrodna regional executive committee, Vitali Laiko, one of the employees of the enterprise was stopped on the territory of the city for drunk driving: there was more than 0.8 ppm in the exhaled air. The man faces a fine of 200 basic units (Br8,400) with the deprivation of the right to drive for five years.

‘These facts take place due to personal indiscipline of drivers,’ Laiko explained.
