The spokeswoman of the State Department called the information about deleting the data a ‘conspiracy theory’.
The information collected under the auspices of the Yale University project on abducting children from the occupied Ukrainian territories by Russia has not been deleted despite terminated funding.
This was stated by State Department spokeswoman Tammy Bruce at a briefing on 19 March, reports ‘European Truth’.
Bruce confirmed that the US administration had cut off financial support for an initiative led by Yale University's Humanitarian Research Lab that tracked the mass deportation of children from Ukraine.
‘Funding was cut based on assessments we made about all the funding, whether it was consistent with our vision of contributing to U.S. interests,’ she confirmed.
‘I can tell you that conspiracy theories or fears about some data being deleted are not true. It isn't. The data is there, it was not run by the State Department, we know who was in charge of the data and the website. We know for a fact that the data has not been deleted or lost,’ the spokeswoman said.
