Drones Smash Weapon Depots With ‘Kh-101’ Missiles Near Engels Aerodrome

There is a smell of paraffin in the air.
On the night of 20 March, drones attacked the area of the Engels airfield in Saratov region of Russia, where ammunition depots are located.
Locals wrote about the smell of paraffin in the air, and civilian evacuations began in the areas surrounding the airfield.
OSINT analysts, who have studied the footage from the site of the fly-ins in detail, report that the strikes hit weapons depots near the airfield, Dialogue.UA reported.
The airfield plays a major role in Russian missile attacks against Ukraine, as Tu-95MS and Tu-160s regularly make combat sorties from it.
Cruise missiles of the Kh-101 type are stored and serviced at the airfield. Local residents indirectly confirm the fly-ins at the weapons depots, reporting secondary detonation, heavy smoke and fire.
‘Rosaviatsia has suspended the operation of airports in Saratov and Samara. Local authorities have declared an evacuation zone of 1.5 kilometres around the airfield.
