Elon Musk is Developing Software for the "Golden Cards"
In just one day, the United States earned $5 billion from President Donald Trump's initiative for wealthy individuals, selling 1,000 immigration "Golden Cards."
This was revealed by U.S. Secretary of Commerce Howard Lutnick on the All-In Podcast. Each of these cards is reportedly priced at $5 million.
According to Lutnick, Trump is confident that this initiative could generate at least $5 trillion. Currently, there are 37 million potential buyers for the "Golden Cards."
The secretary noted that the idea of selling these cards came to Trump during a conversation with investor John Paulson. Later, Lutnick himself joined the development of the initiative.
Elon Musk is responsible for developing the software for these cards.
Trump's Immigration "Golden Cards"
In February, U.S. President Donald Trump announced the sale of "Golden Cards," which would grant residency in the country. At that time, the Republican leader even suggested that Russian oligarchs could have access to the initiative, stating that there are "very nice people" among them.
"We will be selling a 'Golden Card.' You have the 'Green Card,' but this is the 'Golden Card.' We plan to price this card at around $5 million, and it will grant you the privileges of a Green Card as well as a path to citizenship. Wealthy individuals will come to our country by purchasing this card," Trump said at the time.
U.S. Secretary of Commerce Howard Lutnick previously stated that the "Golden Card" would replace the government’s EB-5 visa program for immigrant investors.
