The Kremlin made it clear to the dictator that he "has no cards.
New details have emerged about the meeting between Lukashenka and Putin in Moscow, as reported by the Telegram channel “Belarusian Intelligence”.
According to sources, for the first time, a direct conversation took place regarding the “logical conclusion of deep integration.” The discussion reportedly caught Lukashenka off guard. Essentially, Putin outlined the final outcome of the union state project for the first time.
Sources indicate that the Belarusian delegation came away with the strong impression that Putin has adopted Trump’s tactics. Lukashenka’s team was openly told that they “have no cards” and that the process of “deep integration” must logically conclude with a transition from a “union” integration model to a federal structure.
Lukashenka came back defeated. He fully understands that no matter how hard he tries to appease Putin—playing the role of an equal jester-partner—his personal fate in the history of Belarusian independence has already been decided by the Kremlin.
“Of course, we are reporting the general fact and trend of the conversation, but the exact details and the Kremlin’s step-by-step strategy remain unknown to us. In the coming years, we should expect corresponding political moves, initiatives, and statements from both ‘brothers.’ One thing is clear—‘Lukashenka has done his job, and now he can go,’” notes the Belarusian Intelligence resource.
