Kadyrovites Forced Solovyov To Record Apology Video

The statement made by the Russian propagandist did not sit well with "Akhmat."

Renowned Russian TV propagandist Vladimir Solovyov was forced to apologize and grovel before the Kadyrovites after criticizing war correspondent Roman Alyokhin on air, reports The Insider.

On March 19, Solovyov scolded Alyokhin on air for terminating his contract with "Akhmat" (which, according to him, had been signed by mistake, as he was "more useful" in the civilian sector). Solovyov then said: "Is this an army or a gang? Well, 'Akhmat' is an army." Representatives of the Chechen unit perceived this as an attack on them, likely only hearing the words "Akhmat" and "gang" and linking them together.

The commander of "Akhmat," Apti Alaudinov, responded with a video message criticizing the propagandist and defending Alyokhin. The very next day, Solovyov invited Alaudinov onto his show, where he expressed clear remorse. However, this was not enough: later, Chechen Minister of Information Akhmed Dudayev released a separate video featuring Solovyov’s explanations and apologies, in which the TV host referred to all Chechens as "friends and brothers."
