Minsk OMON Officer Dies

He died three days before his 50th birthday.

Siarhei Kisel, an officer of the Minsk OMON Main Directorate of Internal Affairs, died three days before his 50th birthday. It is known that he served in the Third Separate Red Banner Special Forces Brigade (military unit 3214), which is located on Independence Avenue (Uruchcha) in the capital, human rights activists from MAYDAY report.

On March 19, the officer was buried in his homeland in the village of Kazulichy in the Kirausk district of the Mahiliou region. This was first reported by his colleagues from the local police; the policeman was registered in Babruisk. The cause of death was an accident, but no one is saying what exactly happened.

Also, confirmation of the information and the man’s photo in a lieutenant's uniform were published on the Internet page of the Association of Veterans of the Special Forces of the Ministry of Internal Affairs “Honor” on March 15.
