Underground Parking On Fire In Minsk

Smoke was driven out by a huge fan.

In the evening, Monday, March 24, an underground car park in Rahachouskaya Street caught fire in Minsk. Rescuers liquidated the fire, reported the Ministry of Emergency Situations.

A local employee reported about the fire in the garage co-operative at 19.55.

The electric board caught fire, the insulation of power cables in the underground car park melted.

The fire was eliminated in less than an hour, no one was injured.

‘The smoke extraction vehicle was used to ventilate the car park. A total of 10 units of fire rescue equipment were involved,’ reported the Ministry of Emergency Situations.

There is a military unit across the road from the ‘Yantarny’ cooperative and neighbouring GPK ‘Sosnovy’ - Minsk military commandant's office and the 56th separate regiment of communications are located on the territory.
