Light Disappears In More Than 200 Belarusian Settlements

The Ministry of Emergency Situations has reported on the consequences of the storm wind.
Power supply to 223 settlements of the country has been disrupted due to strong winds. This is stated in the summary of the Ministry of Emergency Situations for 24 March.
The ministry noted that wind gusts reached 22 m/s on Monday. The roofs of three residential houses, two schools, six agricultural buildings and one farm building were damaged in two districts of Mahiliou region (Haretski and Mstislauye). There were no casualties. Rescuers sawed and removed three fallen trees.
According to Belenerha, over the course of the day, the power supply was intermittently disrupted in 223 settlements (Brest region - 1, Vitsebsk region - 121, Homel region - 15, Hrodna region - 31, Minsk region - 45, Mahiliou region - 10), 23 agricultural buildings and 889 transformer substations in the country.
‘The shutdowns are being promptly eliminated by emergency brigades,’ reported the Ministry of Emergency Situations.
As of 06.00, 25 March, nine settlements (Homel region - three, Minsk region - six) and 41 transformer substations remain without power supply.
