The power in Ukraine is determined by the country's Constitution and the people.
The White House has said that the Constitution of the country and the people determine the power in Ukraine.
This is reported by Reuters with reference to a representative of the National Security Council of the US White House.
Commenting on the statement by Russian dictator Vladimir Putin, in which he suggested considering the possibility of introducing interim governance in Ukraine under the auspices of the UN and a number of states to ‘hold elections’ and subsequent negotiations on peace, a representative of the White House National Security Council said that the governance in Ukraine is determined by its constitution and the people of the country.
On 27 March, the Russian dictator said that global practice allegedly provides for introducing temporary external governance in the country, which, in his opinion, could create conditions for peace talks, New Voice reported.
The Russian dictator again voiced his claims about the alleged illegitimacy of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and said that other Ukrainian authorities ‘are not legitimate either’.
In late January, in an interview with Russian propagandist Pavel Zarubin, Putin said that he would not consider any peace agreement with Ukraine as binding as long as President Volodymyr Zelensky's 2022 decree banning negotiations with him was in force.
