US Military Armoured Vehicle, Disappeared At Border With Belarus, Pulled Out Of Swamp In Lithuania

March 31, early in the morning, an American armoured vehicle was pulled out of the swamp at the firing range in the Lithuanian town of Pabrada on the border with Belarus. Military police and American investigators are working at the scene. Nothing is yet known about the fate of the missing military, reports Delfi.
‘At 4.30pm the operation was completed, the armoured vehicle was pulled out with the help of two similar vehicles and a bulldozer,’ Lithuanian Defence Minister Dovile Šakaliene told LRT.
‘At the moment the Military Police and US investigators are working at the scene, so we cannot provide any more information. I think we have breathed a sigh of relief, the most difficult part of the work is done, the first, most difficult part of the operation. The hard work of six days involving hundreds of people has finally yielded the first, very important result,’ the minister told LRT.
Asked about the missing US military personnel, she said she could not yet speak on the subject.
‘There is no such information yet. Another point is that even when such information appears, there is a clear agreement that the Americans will be the first to announce it.’

We remind you that the American military driving a tracked M88 armoured vehicle disappeared at the training range in Pabrada on March 25. On March 26, it became known that the vehicle sank in a swamp.
Its whereabouts were established last Wednesday. Since then, a complex and arduous operation to pull it out of the swamp has been underway. The armoured vehicle was four metres deep, with two metres of silt above it. On Sunday evening, American divers managed to attach ropes to the vehicle.
