The fire started after a series of explosions.
After midnight on April 15, a series of explosions thundered in the Russian city of Kursk: according to local channels, the city was under attack by drones. The Russians write about the work of air defense and the “successful shooting down” of the UAV, but a fire was recorded in the city.
“Focus” collected information about the night shelling of the Russian city of Kursk on the night of April 15 from information published by local Telegram channels.
Around midnight, an air raid alert was declared in the region due to the threat of attack drones.

At 02:24 local publics reported explosions in Kursk: according to their information, air defense was working in the city.
Soon, Russian Telegram channels reported the first consequences of the drone attack on the city. According to them, a fire was recorded as a result of the shelling. The Russians also distributed photos of the aftermath of the attack.

A video has been circulated online showing a fire in Kursk after a UAV attack.
Kursk publics also report the shooting down of several attack drones.
Also, at about 02:40, an air raid alert was declared in Kursk due to the “threat of a missile attack.” However, a few minutes later the missile threat was cancelled, and monitoring channels did not report any shelling.
Official channels, in particular governor of the Kursk region Alexander Khinshtein, have not yet commented on the UAV attack on the city.
It is also unknown which drones attacked the Russian region and which objects were targeted.
Other consequences of the night attack on Kursk are being clarified. The air raid alert due to the threat of attack UAVs in the region is still ongoing.
