Russia Launch ‘Shaheds’ Against Odesa

On the night of 16 April, the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation struck Odesa with Shahed kamikaze drones, resulting in fire in several points of the locality. Rescuers arrived at the scene to deal with the fires. The Russians wounded three Ukrainians as a result, the State Emergency Service wrote.
The details of the night Russian drone strike in Odesa are reported in the morning statement of the State emergency service on the Telegram-channel.
Rescuers reported that residential houses and warehouses were on fire at several addresses. According to the State emergency service, three citizens were injured. It is noted that psychologists and police officers worked at the scene of the RF crime.

‘We had a house. But everything will be fine, we will rebuild,’ assured one of the victims.

The Attack of ‘Shaheds’ in Odesa - Details
At 21:32, the AFU air force warned of a wave of ‘Shaheds’ launches in southern Ukraine. The command reported that the enemy drones were travelling the course Chernomorsk-Odesa. Then, at 0:06, the Russians launched a missile that flew past Mykolaiv, but it was not clear if it was heading towards the neighbouring region. At around 1:40, the Air Force spotted a second wave of UAVs that were heading towards the Odesa region, the troops' Telegram channel said.
As confirmed by the mayor Gennady Trukhanov, at about 1:50 a series of powerful explosions were heard in the city. After that, local media wrote that a large-scale fire had broken out at the site, while the head of the Odesa city state administration, Oleg Kiper, added that Russian drones had damaged a residential building and civilian infrastructure. Kiper did not specify which infrastructure the Russians hit.
