Russian ballistic missile strikes in Kharkiv this morning have hit a densely populated area of the city, there are many casualties and the number is growing. It is also known about the dead.

The mayor reported about ‘hitting a multi-storey building’, and added that ‘there may be people under the rubble’.
Also the mayor informed that four enemy missile strikes on the city were recorded.
‘According to preliminary information, the strikes in Kharkiv were carried out by ballistic missiles with cluster stuffing. That is why the areas of defeat are very large,’ said the mayor.
The mayor also said that 15 apartment buildings in Kharkiv had suffered preliminary damage due to the shelling. He added that the inspection of the affected area continues.
We would like to add that the head of the Kharkiv regional military administration, Oleh Sinegubov, specified that there had been ‘a hit on apartment blocks in Osnovyanskiy district’ of the city.
The head of the RMA later also said that two children were among those injured due to rocket fire in Kharkiv.
‘The number of victims due to the morning rocket attacks in Kharkiv increased 24 people. Two children are among the victims: 4 years old and 2.8 years old,’ said the head of the RMA Oleg Sinegubov at 06:26. The official added that one person died.
However, already at 06:30 he specified that the number of wounded in Kharkiv as a result of morning shelling has increased to 28 people.
As the mayor said, more than 20 apartment blocks and more than 30 private houses were damaged in Kharkiv due to shelling.
And already at 06:46 it became known that the number of victims in Kharkiv has increased - mayor Terekhov said that there were already forty of them.
At 07:10 the mayor said that the number of injured in Kharkiv continues to grow - it is already known about 54 people.
The head of the RMA Sinegubov writes on the net about 51 injured.
‘At the moment, 13 people are hospitalised in city hospitals, including two children. 4 people in serious condition. Doctors are providing the injured with all the necessary assistance,’ said the official.
A fire broke out at a civilian enterprise in Kharkiv as a result of a missile attack, said the speaker of the State emergency service of Kharkiv region Yevgeny Vasilenko in the commentary to ‘Suspilne’.
He added that three cells at the facility are being extinguished over an area of 500 square metres.
