Rubio Relays Trump's Warning To Lavrov

The war in Ukraine must end as soon as possible.

US Secretary of State Marco Rubio and Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov have spoken by phone.

The website of the US State Department published information about yesterday's telephone conversation between Rubio and Lavrov, Dialog.UA reported.

The officials discussed both the war in Ukraine and the meeting of the US and European delegations in Paris, where the topic of the war was also raised.

Rubio said he conveyed to Lavrov the same message that Trump keeps repeating: the war in Ukraine should end as soon as possible.

According to the US Secretary of State, peace in Ukraine is possible, but only if Moscow and Kyiv strive for it.

On the eve it became known that Donald Trump gave Putin three days for a ceasefire in Ukraine. The US President expects to hear this week the decision of Russian dictator Vladimir Putin on Ukraine. He said this during a meeting with Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni.
