A Diesel Train With 220 Passengers Went Up In Smoke In Gorki

BelZhD warned of train delays due to the incident.
"Belarusian Railways" informed that on April 26 at 15:50 at the station "Pogodino" in Gorki, Mogilev region, there was smoke in the engine room of diesel train № 6537 "Orsha-Krichev. Because of this, it will arrive at its final destination with a delay of up to two hours.
"Also, because of the incident, diesel train № 6536 "Krichev-Orsha" is delayed for about 1 hour and 30 minutes," reported on BelZhD.
According to them, the smoke was eliminated by the locomotive crew. There were 260 people in the diesel at the time of the incident. None of the passengers, according to the carrier, was not injured. An official investigation into the incident has been launched.

The cause of the smoke is still unknown. BelZhD added that they are taking measures to deliver passengers to their destination.
