Power engineers could not cope with the consequences for a long time.
Belarusian power engineers reported the restoration of power supply in all settlements of the country. Specialists managed to power the cities and towns de-energized due to the rampage of Hurricane Zion only by 23:00 on April 7.
According to official statistics from the Ministry of Energy, over two days, power supply was disrupted due to broken wires in more than 840 settlements in Belarus. On average, according to their calculations, it took power engineers about 3 hours to restore power supply.

Power engineers had to work non-stop for the last two days, since the cyclone, moving across the country, caused more and more technological disruptions, including in hard-to-reach sections of power lines.
In total, about 150 teams were involved in the emergency work, that is, more than 600 specialists, about 200 units of equipment and 37 diesel generators, which are used to provide temporary power supply to consumers.
However, the Ministry of Energy noted that work on individual consumer requests (and more than a thousand of them have been completed over the past two days) continues.
Meanwhile, for Tuesday, April 8, forecasters have lowered the level of meteorological danger for all regions of the country to yellow. In most regions today, the main danger for Belarusians will be ice, but in three regions — in the Minsk, Vitsebsk and Homel regions — potentially dangerous winds will also persist until at least 21:00 on April 8.
