In Liverpool, A Car Crashed Into The Crowd At A Parade

Dozens of people were injured.

On the evening of May 26 in the British Liverpool there was an accident: during the festive parade in honor of the victory of the local soccer club Liverpool FC in the Premier League, a car crashed into a crowd of people. Dozens of people were injured, including four children, writes CNN.

According to police, the driver was a 53-year-old British man. He was detained right at the scene. Authorities emphasize: the incident is not terrorism-related and is not being treated as an attack - it is, they say, an "isolated incident." No other suspects are being sought.

The ambulance service said 27 people were taken to hospital. One child and one adult were seriously injured. Four others - three adults and one child - had to be pulled from under the vehicle. About 20 people suffered minor injuries and were treated at the scene.
