Latvia Stopped Letting Trucks From Belarus Through
Due to a software malfunction.
Since 15:00 Thursday, June 26, the Latvian side at the checkpoint "Paternieki" (neighboring Belarusian "Grigorovshchina") does not accept trucks leaving Belarus. The State Customs Committee warned about it.
The State Customs Committee specified that, according to the neighboring side, the cause was a software malfunction.
It's not specified how soon the software will be restored.
For 11:00 Friday, June 27, 570 trucks are waiting to leave Belarus at this checkpoint.
Now there is one checkpoint "Grigorovshchina" / "Paternieki" on the border between Belarus and Latvia. Until September 2023, the checkpoint "Silene" ("Urbany") also worked.
Latvia has calculated by how much the flow of vehicles at the border with Belarus has decreased.
