The transfer is being carried out in close cooperation with Germany.
NATO is preparing the rapid deployment of additional Patriot air defense systems in Ukraine, said NATO's Joint Force Europe Commander Alexus Hrynkiewicz.
This is reported by ntv.
The preparations, he said, are being made in close cooperation with Germany.
"The order is to act as soon as possible," NATO official Hrynkiewicz told a conference in Wiesbaden.
A spokesman for the German Defense Ministry said the day before that he was "unaware" of whether components of Patriot air defense systems had already been sent to Ukraine.
"I cannot confirm that anything is being prepared now," he said.
He said a meeting of states that support Ukraine on Monday would seek a solution to make the delivery as soon as possible.
Reminder, on July 14, US President Donald Trump announced an agreement between the United States and NATO under which US arms deliveries to Ukraine would be paid for by European allies.
