The Main Directorate of Intelligence of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine and Magur drones set five records. They were included in the Book of Records of Ukraine. This is reported by "Channel 24".
All records were carried out during the defense of Ukraine, when fighters destroyed enemy equipment. The military for their operations used Magur's marine drones, which helped to successfully accomplish all the tasks. The marine drones were developed by Ukrainian engineers.
"This multi-purpose marine platform has proven its effectiveness and shown that it is the best in the world at this stage. Because no one else has been able to sink ships at this stage," said GUR chief Kirill Budanov.
Official record registration took place at Ukraine's Military Intelligence Museum, which now has a separate exposition dedicated to Magur's drones.
A representative of the Ukrainian Record Book Andrey Masyuk said the operations of the GUR are unique on a global scale. Ukraine, he said, can create innovations and thus change the course of the war.
"This is a colossal work, which significantly weakened the enemy fleet and changed the balance of power at sea. You are true masters of your craft," said the representative of the Ukrainian Book of Records.
What records were recorded in the Ukrainian Book of Records
Sinking of warships. Thanks to GUR drones, the Russian landing boat D-144 "Serna" (with BTR-82 on board) and landing boat D-295 "Akula" went to the bottom. This happened on November 10, 2023. 2. The first shooting down of a combat aircraft using a maritime drone. "Group 13" of the Defense Ministry's GSD carried out an operation to destroy a Russian Su-30 fighter jet over the Black Sea using a Magura V7 maritime drone, an operation that turned the concept of air defense upside down.
3. Destruction of two Mi-8 helicopters in the Black Sea. On that day, the Ukrainian military shot down an aerial target with a maritime drone for the first time in the world.
4. The highest number of defeats of warships and gunboats. In the period from 2023 to 2024, fighters hit 15 units of the Russian Black Sea Fleet's ship-and-boat formation, including landing, patrol and reconnaissance ships, landing and speedboats.
